4. Turn it inside out and feel the toe seam
A thick ridge running across the toes means the sock was closed on a cheap overlock machine. A flat, nearly invisible seam means it was hand-linked, which costs more labor per pair. On an everyday sock you might not care. In pilates you spend half the class with your toes flexed against a strap or the floor, and that ridge sits exactly where your weight goes.
5. Weigh it
Grammage is the quality signal nobody publishes. Two same-size socks with identical label compositions can differ noticeably in yarn weight, and the lighter one is thinner, wears out faster, and was cheaper to make. Our trampoline socks alone span 25 g to 60 g per pair, depending on whether the park treats them as a giveaway or a resale product. Put competing pairs on a kitchen scale. One last habit worth copying: before any carton ships, our QC pulls pairs from every lot and repeats these checks, a scratch test on the dots, seam flatness, measurements against the size spec, and pairing. Do Reformer and Mat Pilates Need Different Socks?
For mat classes, a mid-coverage grip sock or even bare feet on a decent mat works fine. - You need certified trampoline socks: our trampoline line carries no textile certification, and we would rather tell you that than decorate a quote with borrowed logos.
